Public API v0 is live

Public API v0 is live: Build with Versuno's intelligent context layer

When we started building Versuno, one thing became clear very quickly. Teams were creating great prompts, contexts, personas, and skills, but those assets often stayed trapped inside one UI flow.

That made sharing and automation harder than it should be.

Public API v0 is our first big step to fix that.

It gives you a clean way to create, read, update, version, and organize AI assets from your own apps, scripts, and backend jobs.

If you are discovering Versuno for the first time, this release shows our direction very clearly. Versuno is not only a place to edit assets. It is becoming the intelligent context layer for teams building with AI.

Why this matters

Most teams do not build AI products in one place.

You might have:

  • an internal admin panel
  • a support tool
  • a product workflow in your backend
  • CI jobs that validate prompts before release

Without an API, teams copy and paste content between systems, lose version history, and ship changes with less confidence.

With Public API v0, your assets can now be managed the same way as the rest of your product stack:

  • automate creation and updates
  • keep consistent versions across environments
  • integrate with your own approval and release process
  • connect your tooling to one source of truth

What you can do with API v0

Public API v0 includes production-ready endpoints for:

  • Assets: list, create, get, update
  • Versioning: create snapshots and access version history
  • Projects and trash flows for lifecycle management

This means you can run practical workflows like:

  1. Generate a draft prompt from your app and save it as a new asset.
  2. Update prompt content when a reviewer changes wording.
  3. Save a version checkpoint before release.
  4. Roll back safely if output quality drops.

Quick start

The fastest way to get started is the API Guide:

It covers authentication, endpoint patterns, and your first complete requests.

Design choices in v0

We made a few decisions on purpose for this version.

  • Keep the API simple and direct.
  • Focus on core asset operations that teams needed first.
  • Support real workflows now, then iterate with developer feedback.

You will notice that some compatibility fields still exist while teams migrate. That is intentional. We want teams to move fast without breaking existing pipelines.

Who should try this now

Public API v0 is a great fit if you are:

  • building internal tools that need prompt and context management
  • syncing assets between your product and Versuno
  • creating release workflows with version checkpoints
  • building automation around review and quality gates

What comes next

API v0 is the foundation.

The bigger vision is one connected developer workflow across:

  • Public API for backend and product integrations
  • CLI for local, git-friendly workflows
  • MCP for AI agent tool use

If you want your skills, contexts, and reusable assets to be versioned, structured, and automatable, this is exactly where we are heading.

Start today

Create an API key, call your first endpoint, and wire Versuno into a real workflow.

If you are new here, this is the best moment to join. You can start simple, then grow into full automation as your team scales.
